We only collect information that is strictly necessary for the administration, evaluation, and security of the competition. When you submit an artwork, we collect:

• Personal Identifiers: Your full legal name, date of birth, and Government-issued CNIC or NICOP numbers to verify your identity and citizenship eligibility.
• Contact Information: Your email address, primary phone number, and WhatsApp number for operational communications.
• Financial Records: Transaction IDs and screenshots of EasyPaisa or banking transfers for entry fee verification. We do not process or store your raw bank account credentials.
• Submission Assets: High-resolution digital artwork files, RAW photography files, artist statements, and media providing proof of authenticity.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is utilized strictly for competition-related operations, including but not limited to:

• Identity & Anti-Fraud Verification: Validating your CNIC to ensure you are a genuine, eligible human artist and to prevent automated bot spam.
• Curatorial Evaluation: Securely routing your artwork assets to our independent Curatorial Board for blind-review judging.
• Communication: Sending you submission confirmations, secure reference codes, judging updates, and final result notifications.
• Legal Compliance: Maintaining accurate records of submissions and prize distributions to comply with Pakistani tax and legal regulations.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We operate under a strict policy of confidentiality. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your data is only shared in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: We use secure third-party infrastructure (such as Vercel for hosting, Cloudinary for encrypted asset storage, and Google Workspace for internal databases) to process your data. These providers are strictly bound by their own enterprise privacy agreements.
• Curatorial Board: Your artwork and artist statement (without your name or CNIC) are shared with our judges to facilitate an unbiased evaluation process.
• Legal Requirements: If mandated by law enforcement or government authorities in Pakistan, we may disclose information to comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Security

We implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction:

• Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is secured using modern TLS/SSL encryption protocols.
• Encrypted Storage: Your high-resolution artworks are housed in Cloudinary's secure cloud environment and are not exposed to public search engine indexing.
• Access Control: Administrative and curatorial data (housed in Google Sheets databases) is restricted exclusively to verified, authorized personnel via multi-factor authentication (MFA).

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data and artwork assets only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of the Rang-o-Roshni competition, including prize distribution and subsequent exhibition logistics. Following the conclusion of the event cycle, non-winning submissions and associated personal data will be securely archived or deleted from our active databases, in accordance with local legal record-keeping requirements.

6. Your Rights

As a participant, you maintain the right to request the correction of any inaccurate personal data (such as a typo in your email or phone number) prior to the competition deadline. You may also request the withdrawal of your submission, which will result in the deletion of your artwork from our active evaluation queue (please note that entry fees remain non-refundable).
