Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility Requirements

Participation is strictly limited to individuals who meet the following criteria at the time of submission:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must hold valid Pakistani citizenship (possessing a valid CNIC or NICOP).
• Employees, immediate family members, and affiliates of DeModa Pakistan or the Curatorial Board are strictly prohibited from entering.

2. Submission Guidelines & Fees

Artists may submit multiple original artworks across our recognized category wings (Painting/Drawing, Digital Art, Photography, Sculptural/Mixed Media).

• Entry Fees: The primary submission fee is PKR 1,500. Any subsequent secondary submissions by the same artist are subsidized at PKR 1,000 each.
• Non-Refundable: All entry fees cover administrative and curatorial processing and are strictly non-refundable, regardless of whether the artwork is selected as a finalist or disqualified for rule violations.

3. Strict Prohibitions

To maintain the integrity of the Championship, the following are absolutely prohibited. Violation will result in immediate, permanent disqualification without notice or refund:

• Generative AI: The use of Artificial Intelligence (e.g., Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion) to generate any final visual component of the submitted artwork.
• Plagiarism: Submitting work that is not 100% your own original creation, or submitting work that heavily infringes on existing copyrighted material.
• Offensive Material: Artworks that promote hate speech, explicit violence, or violate the cultural decency standards of Pakistan.

4. Intellectual Property (IP)

Display License: By submitting your work, you grant DeModa Pakistan a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, limited license to display, reproduce, and promote the artwork across our digital platforms, print media, social media channels, and physical exhibitions for the strict purpose of marketing and conducting the competition.

Grand Prize Winner: For the Grand Prize winner of the PKR 500,000 award, physical ownership of the winning piece will be transferred to DeModa Pakistan. The piece will be auctioned or sold exclusively for philanthropic purposes to support women's education via the Waqarsons Foundation.

5. Judging Process & Finality

Evaluations are conducted through a rigorous blind-review process by an independent Curatorial Board. Art is inherently subjective.

6. Limitation of Liability

While we employ robust enterprise hosting infrastructure, DeModa Pakistan assumes no responsibility for technical failures, internet outages, or peak traffic server overloads that may prevent a submission from being successfully lodged before the deadline. Participants are strongly advised to submit well in advance.

In no event shall DeModa Pakistan, its directors, or its affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your participation in the Competition.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DeModa Pakistan from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, specifically regarding any third-party claims of copyright infringement related to your submitted artwork.

8. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Lahore, Pakistan.
